The 8th batch of the Basic Laboratory Biosafety and Biosecurity Course (BLBBC), held at Hotel Kimberly Manila, officially concluded last January 23, 2026, with a total of 31 participants successfully completing the course. BLBBC Batch 8 was the first training offered by the Center for this year with 20 approved CPD units.
Participants came from the three major island groups of the Philippines—Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—and represented a group of professionals from various fields, including medical technologists, instructors, and a chemical technician.
The lecturers, on the other hand, consisted of graduates of the Philippine Advanced Biorisk Officer’s Training and the newly culminated Executive Biosafety and Biosecurity Course for the Animal Health Sector, ensuring a high standard of instruction and practical expertise.
The Center will be offering additional training programs in February and March 2026, with further details already posted on this page.
