FIRST IATA TRAINING FOR 2026
The first batch of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Shipment of Biological and Infectious Substances Training was successfully conducted at the UP National Institutes of Health Conference Room last March 4-5, 2026.
The two-day training gathered 31 participants from various private and government institutions, bringing together professionals involved in the handling and transport of biological materials.
Throughout the training, participants gained a deeper understanding of IATA regulations governing the shipment of biological and infectious substances. The program provided hands-on learning on proper classification of biological materials, transport packaging, and shipment procedures in accordance with both domestic and international standards.
The NCBB is still accepting participants for the BLBBC Batch 10 and Introduction to Biorisk Management & Chemical Safety and Security Training.
